Phil - SailboatOwners.com

User input is in on the prototype and here are the results: 73% prefer it to the old home page 18% prefer the old home page 08% are undecided Given the positive response we'll begin the transition to the new home pages. We made a few changes based on your input: - Recent forum activity: in the forums tab we added selections for 8, 12, 24, 2/3/4 day activity. The same nav scheme is on some of the forum pages so you can repeat these choices more easily than before. - In the same tab is a link to the ThreadTracker. I changed the Tracker so it no longer tracks how many posts since your last visit (never worked very well) and now shows time and date of most recent reply. Also found and killed a couple of small bugs. - Added links to our other owner sites Now, back to the home pages: the new tabs use javascript which is a bear to make compatible with all browsers and platforms. Although we tested on a variety of browsers we may have missed one. If your tabs don't show you a pull down menu when you move your mouse over them, please email me at: phil@sailboatowners.com Thanks!

Layout suggestion

The rails on the right have too many "widows" and "orphans," that is the second lines are confusing. Tighten up each rail to avoid that, and it will make for easier reading. I'd be happy to help if you like. Strictly a clarity issue.

New vs. old

Hi Bill, If you're seeing widows you're still looking at the old home page. The new model is not installed on the Hunter and Catalina sites. It will be either today or Saturday. Let me know if you see any problems then!

I appriciate the work you do. The web site is great, love the changes. I am as loyal to this web site, I read it every day, as I am to my newspaper and coffee. Is it Spring yet??? Skip "Kid Napper" Catalina 27
