Macgregor 26x Oklahoma City
About 2 months ago I purchased a 95 26S from a guy in Dallas .Not in perfect condition but the price was more than right. My experience is geared more to Navy ships of the line, although we learned on the owned a Flying Scot for a little more than a year.
Because of weather and other things I was not able to take it out for a test run. I think I have most if not all of it figured out. If anyone has some pictures off their boat with the rigging set up I would really appreciate it if you could share them with me. Micksan@cox.net <mailto:Micksan@cox.net> .
I hope to have it launched next week in our local lake , it the heavy sudden storms would let up.
Thanks in Advance

Aarrrhhhh. Ahoy landlocked sailor! I too am in OkC, and a Hefner inhabitant. I am new here to the Forum, but not to sailing. I believe that the McGregor site still has the owners manual with all the rigging and pictures. might try there. Anyway, welcome, and enjoy tthe boat!

Mick,
Good luck with the 26S, it's a great boat. I have owned a 1990 26S for about two years now and I have made many mods to improve her for extended trips. My wife and I have trailered and sailed her to many places from as far north as Block Island to as far south as Marathon and many places in between both inland and coastal. The mods were mostly based on ideas posted by the great folks on this site. Search the archives and you find a wealth of information. You picked a good model. We love the ease of trailering and launching and especially the shallow 2' draft with the boards up. Best of luck. I'm no expert but if you have a specific question you can PM me.

We also have a Macregor 26s and have crawled around every inch doing one thing or another. You will enjoy the boat and as stated earlier, there is a wealth of information in this forum to help you. Enjoy

Mick, welcome to the Mac Club. You'll get more advice and response if you post in the Ask a Macgregor Owner Forum. That's our cool clubhouse where we talk smack about other boats cuz Mac's are the bomb. Voted most sexy by me and my dog.
