Hello forum folks! This is my first post but I have been lurking for a while now. Wanted to say hi, share a photo of my new to me 1973 Oday 22 and thank you all for the knowledge you share. My boat was a $900 steal from a fellow who got a bigger boat. The p.o. purchased it from D&R so we know it came from a good place. My 5 year old son is very excited for our first outing! I am sure to be asking a lot of questions in the coming weeks.

Welcome to the merry mob. Remember the three T's of boat ownership: Time, Talent and Treasure (money). The more you have of any one, the less you need of the other two. You can get a lot of talent from this group which will make ownership much less costly in time and money. That translates the time involved from work to time enjoying your boat.
Congrats on your new to you boat. I too own a 73 oday 22, sail it often and have made numerous improvements over the years. If I can I'll be happy to try and answer any questions you may have. This is a well designed, capable, and forgiving boat. I know you'll enjoy sailing her.
