New Group 24 and Group 27 Batteries

If I installed two new dual purpose batteries, a group 24 and a group 27, using the old style battery selector switch,(without an automatic charging relay) would there be problem as long as they are both lead acid types?

Probably fine.. but just as a precaution I wouldn't use "Both" unless the engine is running..

If these are separate banks then that is fine. If they are physically wired to each other in parallel not so good. Only parallel them with the BOTH setting when charging, but not discharging, and you'll be fine.
