Hello,
My less than a year old Groco K manual is sticky and the weight on the rubber flapper in the bottom of the bowl has moved to one of the sides so the toilet shoots water high into the air above the bowl when the head is pumped nearly dry. Do I need to rebuild the toilet?

I think you have problems that a rebuild won't solve...

Your toilet is still under warranty, so I'd call Groco directly. 410-712-4242...ask for Pat. He's been there forever and will give you the right answers the first time.

I guess you don't need to worry about it if shooting water in your face isn't a problem...

Thank you for your very useful and prompt advise.

I called Patrick at Groco and he was a fountain of information and easy to follow advise. He also said something that I feel is important because many of us do use vinegar in the toilet to get rid of scaling in the discharge hose. Patrick said that this is very negative for the rubber seals of the toilets, and strongly advised against this. In stead he recommended using a product called Sew Clean that he said was very effective against the scaling caused by urea and salt water.
