Hope to get my roller furler next month! On seeking a used or new genoa? Everyone here that sails on the Delaware river says get a 130% at least. reason being i'll be sailing in light air way way more often then in heavy winds. This seems to make sense to me. But.. I dont' want to have to get tracks for the genoa just yet. by the way.. the current and original jib is 110%. thanks all ! Denise

Stand up blocks...

You may not wish to purchase tracks but it may still be a good idea. I'm almost certain that your existing stand up blocks on the deck will be in the wrong positions for your 130 furling genoa. Tracks allow you to shift the blocks fore or aft to tighten/loosen the headsail foot/leech to create the correct sail shape. Too far forward and the leech will be too tight. Too far aft and the foot will be too tight. You might just be able to buy new stand up blocks and position them correctly but tracks make it easier to adjust for different head sails now or down the road.

Alrighty!

Hey Steve! got the CDI! orderd a genoa "garrunteed" fit. from bacon sails. it was worth the trip! tons of used stuff and more not showing! got some tracks, some blocks etc. to set her up for single handing also. I didnt' get the sliders with stand up blocks yet but i will. even got some teak to replace the companion way slide hatch peices. Now.. for some better weather to get to work on the boat. thanks!
