get a 150%
Whatever you do, get at least a 150% furling sail. The reason for this is the luff of a furling sail will be shorter than the luff of a hank on sail due to the pin to pin deduction of the furler. For a Catalina 22, a hank on 150 genoa luff will be a bit over 26 feet, while for a furling 150 the luff will be only 25 feet. So, as you are losing power due to the shorter luff, get as big a furler as you can.I think a 150 with a cloth weight of 6 to 6.5 ounces is a good bet. While this seems a bit heavy, it will provide a heavier sail when reefed. Look at the offerings at The Sailwarehouse.
