Sailors,
My 2003 Hunter 216 jib is past its time. Can anyone recommend someone that can replace it inexpensively? I'm in the Midwest, lake Geneva area.
Thanks,
Tom

Measure the actual rig attach a tape measure to jib halyard and pull up measure luff, foot and leach. Then check used sail sites like Bacon. And they will mail you a practically brand New sail for like $300

I replaced mine off of this site after the original blew out in gusts. I had our local sailmaker price a replacement Dacron one, and he could not come close to the price of the pre-made ones sold here. Additionally, you don't have to deal with getting the included forestay sewn in, and rigged correctly.

BTW: There is no UV protection on these things, so I invested in a Sunbrella sock to raise up using the spin halyard. I bought mine for a couple hundred from Ameriseam in Florida - http://www.ameriseam.net/index.php/...10-17-45487357775/hunter-260-jib-cover-detail - there's was a foot short, so you might ask if they have longer ones.

If you call Ameriseam, advise their sock is short and how to measure precisely. Mention Crazy Dave and talk with Jim Larsen. That will help to oopen that door.

Thanks for the advice, Crazy Dave, but that boat, sail, sock, and all that was attached to them are now owned by another dreamer. Just passing advice on to the OP.
