Hi All,
I'm in the process of getting my '79 H33 ready to splash after spending several years on the hard. It occured to me the other day that the fresh water hoses are all original equipment. I can't begin to imagine what kind of nasty little criiters are residing in them after all this time. Therefore I was considering replacing the hoses. I think I read somewhere here that you can just "splice" the new hose onto the old hose (with a hose coupling) and pull it through. Has anyone done this with this boat? I'm worried about the little surprises that may await me, like the hose being secured to the hull in some out of the way place.
Also, on the subject of hoses, I want to replace the raw water intake hose to the engine. The hose there now is that heavy duty balck stuff (kind of like radiator hose). I was wondering since there's no pressure issue and temperature isn't high, couldn't I use that clear nylon reinforced stuff?
Thanks
Captain Ernie
