New forums

Based on the results of our recent user survey we now have two new forums on the site. Well... one new forum and one re-named forum.The Trailer Sailors forum is for owners of all sailboats and covers topics unique to those who tow their boats. Like tow vehicles, for example, mast raising systems, or great places to tow to.The Destinations forum is a re-name of the wildly unpopular Cruising Notes. Hopefully, a more specific title will help point the right posts there. Use it for questions and answers about harbors, routing, anything geographical in nature. it is also for all sailboat owners, and not brand-specific.We hope to have more support for trailerable skippers in the coming months, as well as some special regional breakdowns for the Destinations forum, too. Enjoy!

As a begining sailor, with a water ballasted boat, I think this format change will open up a deeper exchange of ideas, thoughts and solutions.There were times I felt somewhat naked asking a question about a boat that was much different than the other 97% of the boats on this site.I must strongly state, however, that the responses were always very good, very helpful and I was made to feel like an equal partner on this site.This change can truely encourage other prospective sailers to join in regardless of experence. Today, many of us come up through the ranks of the launch ramp junkies and towable section is a huge help. Again, thank youRayS/V Speedy
