It looks like the show is going to be over two weeks this year; is that new? I haven't been to this show in many years. I took a quick look at the website, and it looks like there will be way fewer than ten boats bigger than 20' on display, and most of those are Beneteaus. I guess I won't be going to get a good look at a lot of boats, but there are other reasons to attend. Do you think its worth a two hour train trip to come from Connecticut?

Mike, it is 9 days spread over two weekends. I have never been but we are traveling 2 hours from Maine to check it out. I like talking to the gear vendors and seeing new products. I am especially interested in marine uphostery, lithium ion batteries, mechanical rigging HW and new chart plotters. I am also looking to replace some docklines hoping to get a deal. I always get new ideas when I go to a boat show and this year I will be in the BVIs during the Maine Boat Builders show.

It's usually a good show-lots of vendors with new stuff, besides Beneteau and the smaller boats there's Catalina, Bavaria, and Hunter. I think the online program is wrong-they don't list Hunter but they do list the local Hunter dealer.
