I am replacing a universal m4-30 with a Yanmar 2GM20F. On my 1980 30ft. Catalina tall mast. Does any one know if the prop I have now will work or if I will have to re pitch it. I have the boat in Mexico and it is expensive and hard to find a shop to do this where I'm at. I don't know the current pitch but it worked great with the universal. Does anyone have the numbers that I can tell the shop if I do have to re pitch it? Thanks Brian

Both engines are right hand rotation so if shaft is same diameter you should be able to use same prop. You will need to repitch as the Universal engine transmission reduction is 2:1 while the Yanmar if I recall correctly is 2.61 Prop shop with reduction ration and max RPM should be able to help.
