I had a Bimini already. Dodger will take a bit to get use to. It is 60 inches above the cockpit sole so it another thing to bump ones head on. I am taking a 50 mile ocean sail this weekend, so I will know how I really like it after then. She's lookin' good. I am considering a dodger / bimini. Which did you chose? Happy?
Sorry,I sold the boat when I was offered much more than what I paid. Try using a beach towel, boat hook and 4 clamps. Clamp the towel to the aft lip of the dodger and clamp the pole to the other end. Tie it then to the back stay. Might need a line at either end of the pole to tie down to the stern pulpit. This will give you a good idea.Could you take a pix of your bimini? I have a similar rig but it is low and I can't stand up under it in the cockpit. It is on a boat I just bought used and think I may be rigging the bimini wrong,
thx
Thanks. I use cetol about once every two years.HVBaker Your brightwork looks great. What do you use?
I was in Ponce in the Navy. aside from the bar at the Yacht Club, the firehouse was the main attraction.
I used Thompson clear deck sealer on my dodgers and bikinis. It looks white when you brush it on but clears right up. Will keep your canvas looking like new and no leaks.thx
Yes. Thompson water sealer from the hardware store. When my wife and I lived aboard our Idylle 15.5, we used to apply it every year and kept our "Florida room" warwe tight. It was red Sumbrella and actually kept the color from fading too much.Thompson's water seal from the hardware store??
