Well, it won't be an O'Day DS
I haven't heard of a Fairhope sailboat before, might be a miss-spelled name, or? One thing to consider is that "daysailer" is a generic term for a sailboat designed for easy sailing for a day, ie: usually no cabin or head (marine term for toilet). "Day Sailer" refers to a specific class, also called the "O'Day Day Sailer", a 16' 9" classic with a small cuddy, centerboard, and sloop rig. The Day Sailer has also been built by other builders under license of the Day Sailer Association. Current builder is Cape Cod Shipbuilding in Wareham, MA.
