New bracket where spreader attchs to mast.

Hello,I have just made an offer on an ericson 27 and need to ask some knowlegable people a few questions. Firstly the bracket where the spreader attchs to the mast is broken. I wonder if anyone knows where i can get one for a 1974 27 foot boat. Also the boat has some nickel to Quarter sized blisters on it...spaced here and there not close together and probably 40-50 on the hull altogether. I am having a survey done but know you guys probably have some ericson specific info...please give me any advice you canjarod allen

it's a design flaw for Ericson

seems as though we both have the same problem with fixing the spreaders on the mast. i'm trying to find out what company produced the rigging for Ericson so that I might track down replacements or at least the specs.if you want to send me an email direct, we can stay in touch on this subject. freybuilding@sbcglobal.nethope to hear from you.Rob Frey

Try Rig Rite

Many Ericsons came with Kenyon Spars and rigging. Rig Rite still supplies most parts. www.rigrite.com if not there search on www.ericsonyachts.org
