Your furling line
Great job, Ed! I wish these (and a midship cleat) came from the factory. I see that you moved your furling line to the starboard side. It looks like it's in the way of the anchor locker door and the anchor chode/rode . Left as it was, I can see that the furler line would have rubbed against the cleat (probably not a problem) and also would have been in the way when using the new port cleat. What's the story behind this? Maybe you never use the anchor? Lesser of two evils? :-( BTW, is that a Shaeffer SnapFurl 500? I had to attach the forestay to the aft hole in the chainplate instead of the forward one that was used before installing the furler. I don't know if it makes any difference, but I do have my turnbuckles as tight as they go. Is it the same for you? ...RickM...
