Your furling line
Great job, Ed! I wish these (and a midship cleat) came from the factory.I see that you moved your furling line to the starboard side. It looks like it's in the way of the anchor locker door and the anchor chode/rode . Left as it was, I can see that the furler line would have rubbed against the cleat (probably not a problem) and also would have been in the way when using the new port cleat.What's the story behind this? Maybe you never use the anchor? Lesser of two evils? :-(BTW, is that a Shaeffer SnapFurl 500? I had to attach the forestay to the aft hole in the chainplate instead of the forward one that was used before installing the furler. I don't know if it makes any difference, but I do have my turnbuckles as tight as they go. Is it the same for you? ...RickM...
