Long story, but I ended up with an extra brand-new, machined boom extrusion from Catalina. It is for the tall rig, and it is machined for the single line reefing set-up; that is, it has four oval holes on the top, two on each end, on either side of the sail track. I will send this back to Catalina, but the shipping costs are very high. So, if someone local to me (Massachusetts) needs one, I will sell it and deliver it. The price is $450.
