New Boat Buying and Discounts from Base Price

I am interested in purchasing a new 2000 C380. Having never purchased a new boat I am wondering about the "base price" versus final price. Does anyone know the "dealer" cost? How much margin is in the base price? What level of discount should I expect from base price? 10% or more?

We just bought a 1999 and are waiting to take delivery. Because these boats are so popular, you pay the going price.It might be different if there were boats in stock. You could bargain, but I found that in the Seattle, there really was no bargaining. However, look for a dealer that has a proven reputation to back the product and help with getting set up and going. We did get a good dealer.Good luck.Myrna
