Just learned that the other H37C in my marina was sold, a 1983 like Ron's and Jim's. It is a beauty, well kept with full cockpit enclosure, a fin keel, and really nice interior. It stayed on the cradle all of last year and I think it is bound for Michigan. Anyone here buy it?

No i diddnt buy it i bought one in florida!

I bought a 1984 37c. Finding a lot to do, Ive got a leak in the main bulkhead starbord side at the turn of the house to the deck level. cant find the sourse. Rain will get it quite full of water and it takes several days to dry. mast step? where does one get a gasket for the stock thru the deck fitting. mine has the original plat with a big bolt thru the mast at deck level. what does it look like. dont want to drop it till i get what i need to put it back up! thanks. Respond to edsboat1@aol.com if ya want.

Water sources.

Ed, you should find the seal for the mast at Rig-Rite(www.rigrite.com). It is simply a heavy black rubber, about 1" square and 18 or so inches long or whatever the circumference is. It is a devil to get in and barely adequate for the job. You have to work the mast back/forward and side to side with the stays and shrouds to force it in there. Put lots of silicone in there with it. Easiest done while restepping the mast. If you have the mast out then remove the heavy aluminum partners and make sure the area is dry. Epoxy the edges so no water can get into the core. Other sources of water in the area are the staysail traveler and the dorades. I think Gene Greunder has dorade info on his site, link below. If the water is low on the bulkhead it can also be traveling through the core from the other famous sources: toerail bolt holes, chainplates, or portlights. Neat huh? :)
