New 150% RF Genoa, love it, but...

Last week all the pieces finally came together and My boat is now sporting a brand spanking new CDi head sail furler and a 150 Genoa from a major, well known and respected "semi-custom" sail maker. I went with this particular sail maker in large part because due to my inexperience I wanted some assistance from the marina with getting all the right bits and pieces and getting the correct measurements for the new sail. I trust the marina's expertise in this area
Sailed with it last evening and it is a fantastic sail, very well made has a great shape, the CDI furler worked great and over all I am very happy with the sail with one exception.
I specified I wanted the Sunbrella UV cover on the STARBOARD side of the sail. It was installed on the port side.
Now in the grand scheme of things it isn't a big deal, It works just fine the way it is, I didn't even have to make any changes to my furling line set up (repurposed and modified from my jib downhaul set up).
Thing is, I paid a pretty good chunk of change for the sail and it isn't how I ordered it.
I'm 99% sure the error came from the sail maker and not the marina which actually placed the order.
Since I installed it and have used it I suspect I'm just going to live with it as is and not make a fuss but darn it, it just wasn't the way I wanted it.

Don't think I have ever seen a UV strip applied to the starboard side of the Genoa. Congrats on your new sail, a 150 makes a great all-purpose headsail in the light wind conditions of summer.

My OEM jib has the UV strip on the starboard side. it doesn't seem to me that it would be a big deal to wrap the furling line in the opposite direction around the drum on the furler.

Doug's right, it simply doesn't matter. If you're a "purist" then put your jib in the other furling extrusions slot. :)

New sails always feel great, because they DO make/let you sail better.

So you want to furl your jib counterclockwise as opposed to clockwise like most boats? Why? If you have a good reason for wanting it that way I'd take it back. Otherwise, if it works fine and it's only a vanity issue, get over it and enjoy the new sail.
The thing nice about the 150 is you can always make it smaller.

Like I said, it isn't a big deal, it's just not how I ordered it and that is mildly annoying to me.
My 1st boat (Macgregor 26S) furled CCW and my brain kind of "took a set" to it I guess.
But it is a darn nice sail and very well made.
I also got the foam luff pad/strips to help with sail shape when partially furled.

Congratulations! I have purchased new headsails and CDI furlers for my last two boats, and it makes a huge difference. I love the crisp feel of new sails. The boat sails better, closer to the wind, and accelerates better. I sail reefed, and the headsail works fine reefed in 30, 50, or even 70 % configurations.
Enjoy your new sail!

Sail maker can probably remove and reinstall the sunbrella on the other side of that is really what you want. But I imaging they did it like (most) boats are set up. If you have a reason for wanting it on the non-standard side, and you were clear about the instructions, ask them to redo the UV cover.
