Neptune 24

I have recently acquired a Neptune 24 made by Capital Yachts. I believe it is the small version of the Newport 30. It seems to be very well constructed and for sure is better built than my Hunter 22. Does anyone know what the designed capabilities of this boat is? I assume that like any other trailer sailor, it is meant for protected water sailing only. However, it looks like this boat could be taken offshore as long as the weather was favorable. Its rather light displacement (3200 lbs) concerns me... Thanks for the feedback!
