Sorry I have no Maxwell winches. Do have a Barient 10 that I just removed. And I know where there were a couple of self tailing 10s.

I had one too... it was one of the super slow models.... sooo slooow that she took a looong time a leavin'. and when she was gone I didnt even miss her... them wenches, sometimes you CAN live without them

not often, but sometimes, wenches just like winches, need to be changed out.... and its not always our ultimate decision, but a lot of times its because something has gone seriously wrong with the product, or it has been stolen, and it has left us in serious need of a replacement...
ya gotta keep an open mind, cuz sometimes change is good.... but I do agree that there is no need to replace the winch/wench if you take good care of it, dont overload it, keep it serviced regularly and if it doesnt get stolen...

I bought a used one last year thinking that I might need it but I ended up not using it. I haven't seen it in several months so I will have to dig it out of the garage this weekend. I bought it for very little on eBay and you're welcome to it for what I paid plus shipping, interested?
