Look at my NEW 1981 Hunter 27
If you want to see how well maintained H-27's can be, check out my new mistress at www.matthewspoint.com/ Named "VIXEN".We take possession on 4 May. Our survey was done on 11 April, sailed fine & reefed easily! Wind was only at 12-15 knots, I will wait until 15 -18. Basically, all we have to do is clean and wax, few electric upgrades, re-stitch the 150% genny UV cover & replace bimini cover, replace UV grazed stern light lens, 2GM Yanmar diesel, 15 HP ,will get new filters and fluids and belts, like it or not! New lifelines, add 50' anchor chain and 300' of 1/2 inch rode. I will add Raytheon VHF & Chartplotter with WAAS: my wife has limited my toy purchases to two! She will be ready in 2 weeks! I grew up on the Chesapeake,Sassafras River and Worton Creek, moved overseas to Hong Kong 2, 5-6 day trans to the Phillipines(one way) and now I am looking forward to the Neuse River , which leads to the Pamlico Sound and then the Atlantic!! Excited to explore this expanse of water and venture into the Atlantic late Sep-early Oct after the hurricanes are not an issue. I hope you will enjoy your H-27 as much as I am sure my wife and I will.
