How do I get the tank out! Carpe Diem was built in 1991 and tank must be original. It appears to be aluminum and measures 19"x12"x14". It is held in place by metal straps and is located in the port storage compartment accessed through the lid. I cannot reach the area I need to access. Has anyone replaced this thing?

Waste Tank Replacement

I just completed replace the waste holding tank on my '92-30T. It's not an easy task. There are conceled fasteners on the starboard side, the same as what is on the port side. As you said, they are in accessable. I opted to cut my tank out using a mini grinder with metal cutting blades. The replacement tank I used was a Ronco B131 15 gal. tank. It's just about the same size as the old tank. The new tank went in surprisingly easy. A note of CAUTION. Be careful when you are cutting along the back side of the tank.[starboard side]. Your throttle and transmission cables are routed there. Don't make the mistake I did and cut the cables, although after 16 ears, they did need to be replaced. I have instructions that were send to me by another owner with step by step proceedures to replace the tank. I can email them to you if you wish.
