Need to replace at least part of companion way hatch slider that is about 3" wide and cracked down at the front end where people lean on it when going up and down the companionway. Anybody done that and where to get material. Looked on SBO store, but no luck.

if you are talking about the wood frame, you may be able to get some epoxy in to the crack and clamp it while it dries

if it is the plexi/glass top that is cracked, the only long term fix is to replace it with new plexi/lexam/poly material...that is a full day, removing/repair/replace and refit the slider.

Will share pictures when get home. It's the plastic track that the companion way plexiglas slides on. Hunter 37c.

Okay ...Thats good to know. What year?...I would try to replace the slider track with aluminum. Then a felt insert for the plexi to slide on. Pretty standard to do it this way on the more recently designed boats. You should be able to find something that can be adaptive or a match to your needs on this store site. I am sure someone will chime in here on a source soon..

Here are pics of the slide that needs replaced (the one with duct tape). People lean on the slide when exiting the companionway and over time it has cracked in 3 places.

If it is HDPE then TAP Plastics if they have them in your area would be one source. There is a UV stabilized HDPE product.
