Looking for recommendation on where to buy replacement molding (rubber like light brown bead).

I scraped that old brown crap out ( it practically melted anyways) and glued some new double braid in the gaps. Used 1/4 for the tight gaps and 5/16 for the bigger ones. The nice thing about the double braid, is if the gap gets too big, you can "bunch" it up nice to fill that gap.

That looks really nice. Great idea that keeps things clean. Thanks for sharing. May try this. Will make the admiral very happy.

That does look good. What kind of glue did you use?

Construction glue (in red tube) from Ace Hardware. It stays in place nice and holds the rope really well as soon as the two touch. Keep some Goo-off handy, as it can get alitle messy, and its easier to clean it off before its dried. A small piece of 3m blue every foot or so is insurance that it stays put until dry. I thought a neat idea would be to use line with flecks that match your canvas items. I didn't think of that until i was done....duh!!!!!

White w/ green on port and white w/red on starboard? Just joking. lol.

I like the white with trim color idea. Think i will give it a try this spring.

Thanks

I'm trying to source the same stuff. Prefer not to use rope, but love the idea. Anyone know exactly what it's called and where to get it?
