I used some of that blue border tape while finishing the cabin top teak. When I went to remove it the glue residue stuck to the cabin top. What can I use to remove it without hurting the gelcoat? Thanks.

goo gone!

Joe: Goo Gone works wonders on this stuff. You can also apply a 'little' acetone to a clean rag. Be sure to rinse after cleaning.

Joe, if you go the Goo Gone route get the ...

product in the small metal can with a suirter rather than the plastic bottle. It is a much more effective product at removing glue residue. Terry

skin so soft

If you have some of Avon's skin so soft around the house I find it works well on tape residue and you don't have to worry about the gelcoat.

Paint Thinner...

...will do the trick. I've used it for years for tape residue (especially duct tape). It's also great for hull marks left from gooey fenders. And it's cheap!
