I bought my first sailboat this weekend and I'm planning a live aboard lifestyle ...... Only problem is that the boat I bought is in Knoxville Tenn and I live in Raleigh N.C.
I'm looking to rent a boat trailer to move it
She is a 32.2 O'Day with dry weight of 10,250
If anyone can help or has a place that I can look "......... Thanks everyone

This boat is too big for you to transport. You need a pro. Some states require special permits for oversize loads. Look up "boat transport" in your area. Perhaps some one on the list has had a good experience with a local transporter. Be sure to shop around, ask for a copy of their insurance, and a state license. When I moved my little 25 a few hundred miles (by transporter), prices ranged from $1600 to 600. I used the $600 guy and he was great but doesn't go down to your area.

And the sad but funny thing is, finding out that it is gonna cost you twice to three times more money than you anticipated to get her home is EXACTLY the way it is gonna be from here on out. You might as well get used to it. But it's worth it!
Best of luck!

Just curious, where are you going to sail her? I used to live in Raleigh, years before owning a sailboat, but a good friend had his boat up on Kerr Lake.
