Well it is the beginning of October, and in Ontario this marks the time to start prepping for winter haulout. I just ordered your deluxe kit for boats older than 3 years, and now face a tough decision. Should I be a boy and tear open the package as soon as it arrives, run down to the boat and clean/treat/polish the topsides or should I be a grown-up and put the package into storage and wait 'till April before I clean/treat/polish the boat? What do you think? Would I be waisting my time (and your product) if I use it before putting Abbey on the hard in subzero conditions for 5-6 months, or will it make cleaning the winter horrors off the boat that much easier? Would I have to re-do the topsides again in the spring? Please help Grant

Great Question!

If the weather is still warm enough you could prepare the boat for storage- will prevent mildew and make cleaning pretty easy in the new year. How about the best of both worlds (and helping me too). You could do a small practice area (but weather should be above 60 degres F) and see what happens when you go to recommision in the spring. It would be great if you posted the results! Thanks for a great question. I personally think that if you can prepare you boat before putting away you have more sailing time next year - unless you want to do your sailing in the fall! Thanks ALW
