Need advice, please. Almost time to retire and head for Mexico. I really like the idea of a Catalina 250 with trailer. I want to sail south from Matzatlan to Puerto Vallarta and from there south to Manzanillo or even Acapulco. Would trailer it back to Nayarit (San Blas area) where we are building our retirement home. Can these boats handle off shore cruising like that? I usually rent J-30's and Catalina 30's but they have full keels. 250 I have in mind has a winged keel. Any suggestions, advice would be appreciated. I realize launching facilities are limited but PV is o.k. from what I understand.
