The sailing on Joe Wheeler Lake in North Alabama was awesome this weekend. There was plenty of wind--perhaps too much. I blew out the genny--ripped from head to foot. Now I need to find a sail maker. I wasn't too impressed with Doyle in Chicago. They struck me as kind of snobbish with prices kinda on the high side. This doesn't surprise me. Chicago is a very expensive place to do bussiness. Their high taxes make it hard for their businesses to be competitive. Can any one recommend a good sail maker that does good repair work. I use to do business with some VA sailmaker that was in the vacinity of Fredricksburg. Also, there was an outstanding sail loft in Camden Maine on US 1. Unfortunately, I don't know the names of these outfits or know how to get their phone numbers. Does anyone know the names or phone numbers of these lofts, or, recommend one?
