I am considering taking the Mac 26S to Lake Livingston for a few days of R&R.
I'm hoping someone can make a few suggestions about which marina is sailboat friendly and which part of the lake is best for sailing. We'll be staying in the city of Livingston. Would be interested in picking up experienced crew for day sailing if any one was interested.
Thank, John in Odessa

John, can't help with your question, but check this out: I was in Livingston on business a few weeks ago and found a rare two for one 4-7pm happy hour at a Mexican restaurant across from the new (and only) Holiday Inn Express. I think it worked out to $2.50 for a big 24oz margarita and $1.50 for all beer, including imports. Appetizers were half price. Nice deal and the food was good, too.

Thanks for the tip on the Mexican food and drinks. I'll be forced to check it out for myself

Don't know a thing about marinas on Lake Livingston, but the sailing is on the southern half- Up towards Onalaska it get's to be a real stump field. Serious good crappie fishing though
