So I've been thinking about a small platform for my O'day 26 to be mounted just to the starboard side of the rudder (motor is to port). I'm thinking of using one of the teak I/O style platforms. Has anyone seen this or done this themselves?

There's one very like that on the 73' O'Day 23 I bought as a parts boat. It has a swing up ladder attached as well. I haven't sailed the boat but I imagine that, since it is still mounted, it might have been functional for the previous owner. I'm moving it over to my 1974.
