I have a H27 1979 that needs a sail upgrade badly I need a main that has at least 2 reef points as I am going to put some serous miles past her keel my plan is to go from St.Agustin Fl to the keys then to tampa then to new oleans La and back I am refiting her with better deck hardware now along with rigging up grades but I must have better sails I also need to replace the complete roller furling jib . I would love to put a bow sprint on her so I could extend the jib any info would be great thank you

thank you for the info everyone as far as coastal sailing goes I think the H27 is designed as a coastal sailing sloop but that is not what I wish to do with her at 7800lbs dry I think she will do fine crossing the gulf I just thought I would get the info I needed from the friendly folks on this site sorry if I am in the wrong area I thought I was on the mid size boat posting area thanks again

H27 sails

Slowhand, I think Steve was teasing about 'costal' vs 'coastal'. :)

I like Sailwarehouse and here is the link for your boat--

http://thesailwarehouse.com/cgi-bin/web_store.cgi?page=storeframe.html&cart_id=

These guys have archived data for just about every boat ever made and are a great resource. I have learned plenty just from reading their site. They're going to do my cruising headsails in the spring. Check 'em out.

And have a safe and memorable trip cruising the Gulf in your nice little boat!

I just got a new main from my local Doyle sail loft and have been very pleased with it. I went through this site to find a rep. I'm really happy that i didnt get a used sail and just went with a brand new one.
