I am looking for a good (inexpensive) place to supply me with replacement cushions for v-berth, salon berths and qtr berth om my 1984 Hunter 27. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Inexpensive? Do them yourself!

Roy: The most inexpensive price is to do them yourself. If you cannot do this, then you are going to have to pay the pipper! If you get a cheap price from a shop, you are probably going to get a "cheap" job. We just paid $900 for a very custom job on our H'31 (Salon Only). When you look at the job that they did and the quality, it was inexpensive!

Salvage the ones you have

Hi Roy, I gave a detailed description on how I'm going about salvaging my existing cushions on our H23 about 2 weeks ago. It was a reply to an inquiry similar to yours. It's a big project, mostly to clean the foam inserts of mildew and mold, but it is turning out well. U.S. Yacht Cushions might have the original patterns and could probably help you even if they don't. Their number is 727-528-9644. Not sure what you would consider inexpensive, but I shopped around before deciding to tackle it myself, and U.S. Yacht was very reasonable and you would literally get OEM quality.

Just carved mine out

I just made new cushions for the missing aft set, and the missing table top in the salon for my 30. I'm using the old ones in the v-berth, but sent the old covers to my sister, ordered the material I liked at JoAnn Fabrics, and she picked it up at her local store. Foamsource.com or foamonline.com are places to start for foam. If you can afford latex, it is mold/mildew resistant, is cool in the hot summers, and is good for those with allergies. Order the foam in custom sheets to fit the space (High Density - HD, I picked med-firm for the berth, they charge by the board foot) and then cut and shape with an electric knife - very easy. Don't forget to use marine grade vinyl for the bottoms - about $7/yard at JoAnn. Total cost for all my cushions: $220 for foam $250 for uphostery material-I have expensive taste you can get it for 1/4 that and ask for coupons. $$$ Don't ask how much it cost to ship to my sister in AK to do the sewing. That's a pretty good deal for 5 cushions and 7 covers and enough fabric left over for throw pillows.
