Planning to route halyards aft. I want to mount 2 pad eyes to the mast base on which the blocks will attach. Question.....how far up the inside of the mast does the mast step go? I want to mount the pad eyes as low on the mast as possible, but above the step. The picture on D&R's site looks like it protrudes up about 1 inch. Anybody know? Thanks much......Gary
