Any chance anybody has, or can direct me to, a small plastic fitting that goes between the body of the ignition switch and the ignition panel, on the inside of the panel? This is the engine control panel for a Yanmar diesel engine; the panel is simple, with tach, kill button, ignition-key slot (round key), and a few indicator lights near the top. The ignition switch is Part #127412-91250, and costs nearly $100. The plastic fitting has a squared-off bit on the bottom, that fits into a squared slot in the panel. I think maybe the ignition key got kicked, while underway in rough conditions (that whole placement of ignition panel, right where busy feet are kicking about the ignition key that sticks out, is not very good, is it?). The broken piece is stuck to the back of the panel, and I've been wondering if I could pry it off and superglue it back onto its larger piece, but I'd rather have a new piece and keep the glued one for backup.
Many thanks for any help, or even suggestions.
