Need information for servicing my life raft

Hello Beneteau Forum,

I have a 6-person offshore life raft from Lifeguard Equipment Ltd. It has a valise-style container. I bought the raft used from a friend that was selling his boat. The intended use of this was for 200+ nm races across Lake Huron in June, when the water in the northern part of the lake can still be as cold as 45 deg and I could be 50 miles from shore, and for Lake Erie later in the season when the water is warm, but I could be 30 miles offshore. It has been serviced regularly but not necessarily every 3 years. The previous owner had been getting it serviced at LRSE (Life Raft + Survival Equipment) in Rhode Island. When this raft was last serviced it was found to be in good condition, but LSRE has declined to continue to service this brand. Can anyone help me find a way to get this raft serviced, hopefully within 200 miles of northwest Ohio so I can drive it there instead of having to put it on a pallet and have it commercially shipped? With the contained CO2 cylinder, it has to be sent as a hazardous material shipment.

Thank you in advance

I went looking and came up with nothing on a Lifeguard Brand life raft. Couldn't find a website, couldn't find a retailer. So I asked ChatGPt about Lifeguard brand life rafts. It couldn't come up with much information either.

I suspect the company is no longer in business and hasn't been for a long while.

FWIW, Viking Liferafts seem to be the most economical rafts currently available. Shop around and you can often find them with free shipping.
