You wouldn't happen to know where I might find any info on a 1978 Morgan OI would you. I bought the boat recently and the man that owned it before me, died. I can not find the serial number in the engine to get parts. Any info would be appreciated. It is a 1978 Morgan OI. For some reason the previous owner scratched into the engine compartment door the numbers "597974" but I don't know what they mean, they do not correspond to any Perkins numbers. Dan

are you looking for a hull #?

this would be on the stern. Looking at the stern it would be on the right side just below the rub rail. Starts with MRY.That six figure # does sound like a Doc #, though I don't know why he scratched it in the engine room.
