I have purchased a Passage 42 with a Seaward stove hooked up to propane. I cannot get any gas flow. Does anyone have any ideas or schematics for this system.

Propane Flow

Without knowing what you have tried so far and how much you know about propane systems, I'll risk boreing you with a couple basics. Besides the tank shutoff valve (which must be opened) there should be an electrically controlled shutoff valve which must be opened. It should be controlled by a switch somewhere in the vicinity of the appliance. With a voltmeter, check for approximately 12 VDC on the electrical solenoid. The solenoid should be installed inside the propane tank box. If not, it should at least be somewhere outside, but near, the box. The 12 VDC should be there when the switch near the appliance is turned on. Hopes this helps. Bob Miller Gusty Getaway Everett, WA

Propane Stove

Derek, I have a 430 with propane, and there are three necessary moves to supply the range: tank valve, circuit breaker, and a special solonoid valve control which is located adjacent to my power panel. Sometimes after disuse the lines need a couple minutes to fill with propane (with the burner held open).

as with any gas type stove, also check to insure that a critter hasn't crawl into a gas line somewhere. Check the stove venturi as the most like place for this to occur.
