Does anybody know the address and or phone # of a place called "Sail covers & More". They are located in Phoenix, Arizona. They seem to have gone out of business, taking my $90.13 with them. When I last called their phone # (which I got off their recently shut down web site) they had a message saying due to health reasons they were no longer in business. So I really need the address because after the message their phone hangs up on you. Since I'm located in Wisconsin... Once I get the address does anybody in the Phoenix area want to knock on their door for me?:) Thanks for your help!

Is This Really Worth It?

You probably have spent $90.13 in long-distance charges already and you are seeking someone to give you their valuable time to try and collect $90.13? Go out on your boat, take a deep breath, have a beer and forget all about your loss.

Good advice

...on the beer and deep breath. If you used a credit card, you might make one more call to the credit card company - they can withhold the ninety bucks from any amounts that might be owed to this company through Visa/Mastercard and credit your account.

Oh Puleeeze!

I can sympathize with the loss, but to ask a stranger to do your dunning for free is really tacky. Accept your minor loss philosophically and enjoy the water.

$90 in Long Distance Charges

Man Tula ! I'd love to be your long distance carrier ! I can talk for 2-3 months straight for $90. If $90 is no big deal, why don't you send the check to jaharvey because I would want my money back too Are we so jaded by ripoffs to think holding someones money in these cases are fine?

Here you go

It may not be worth the trouble but these scum bags need to be stopped. They ripped me off too. I had purchased from them before and received a great sailcover. Not this time. Their names are Terry and Mary Jo Hill and they live at 18244 N. 30th Lane Phoenix, AZ 85053. Their phone is or was (602)564-1626. Don't bother with the Better Business Bureau, they can't do anything. Do both of us a favor and file a complaint with the Attorney General in Arizona. Here is the link to their site http://www.azag.gov/consumer/complaintform.html When I talked to them, they needed more complaints to make a case. The rest of you may not consider it a big deal but if you sit on your ass all the time and let people walk all over you, you will get what you deserve.

Spend a Million to Save $90.13

Old Salt, In your haste to prove to the world your success in saving long-distance charges you appear to have totally missed the basic point of my post. I do not see you offering to Jharvey to climb into your motorized stroller and motor to the last know address of Sail Covers and More and beat the hell out of them with your walking-stick on his behalf.

You're all so confused

The $90.13 was money paid in advance, by check, for a tiller cover, and two hand rail covers (plus shipping charges). I never recieved the goods. As far as asking somebody to go there for me... I was only kidding. Hence the smiley face. Sorry about the confusion. Thanks for the replies anyway. I was out sailing on Lake Winnebago, from 11:30am until 8pm tonight. It was a beautiful day! I had forgotten all about it until now.

Tula I didn't miss your point at all

ya basically told jharvey to "eat" the $90 and not bother anyone who might be able to help him. Sounds pretty selfish to me -- not like the typical sailors I know I think you should re-read his post above your's "You're all so confused The $90.13 was money paid in advance"

I'm With Drew on this ONE

The best way to purchase goods long distance is with no doubt, a credit card! The credit card companies are good at fixing these kinds of problems. If they have cashed the check you can probally kiss it goodby. If they had any decency they would send the check back with an explanation. Regards, Brian
