Does anyone have experience setting up a Microtik Groove 52HPN? I recently purchased one and an antenna and I am having trouble getting it recognized by my laptop. Initially I was able to log into the router setup menu, but now the unit powers up and then powers down withing 10 seconds or so?

That sounds like it's not completing its boot. Try resetting to factory defaults. There should be specific instructions in the router documentation, but it's usually something like holding the reset button for 10 seconds or something similar. Then, start over again.

I'm supposing it is powered through POE injectors?
Yes, You are both correct. A big thanks to Bob at Island Time PC for helping me with a factory reset. I did not realize that you have to power up the unit while holding the reset button, but now working fine.

Does anyone know if there is an online tutorial on getting my unit connected to wireless networks in my area? I have also installed winbox to use with the router. I looked on the Microtik forums but most of the information is for professionals and over my head.

Bob has several PDFs he could send you. I have them saved on phone/iPad/computer and printed. U need to spend some time working it and it'll make sense. The biggest thing I had to remember is u first have to access the router and then the radio and the the appropriate wifi hotspot. Three separate actions. Then As with any router, that login can be automatic. Ur going to have to put the radio IP address in "favorites".. It's needed to access the radio. Unless your memory is better than mine....
