On our Beneteau 381, our First Wave propane stove will light and work normally for about 10 minutes, then gradually lose flame and heat. Same is true for both burners and oven. Any clues to this problem?

Hi Barb. Had to look at your profile when I saw Ocean View. I know a couple of people there. Bethany Beach is my vacation place of choice. Will you be back home, or maybe that's just a mailing address? repenceatmsndotcom

Lee hit the nail on the head. I had the same problem last year and it was the Solenoid. Bought a new one from West Marine and installed it myself. Works like a dream.

Okay ... it's a consensus. We will replace the Solenoid. We are having problems removing it. Any clues how to dismount it?

I've had to replace mine twice. I had to unscrew the regulator from the propane locker, then I could use a crescent wrench to unscrew the solenoid from the bottom of the regulator.

I had to get at the screws that hold it in place by going in behind the propane locker via my lazeret. Had to be a bit of a monkey to get at it, but it is the only way to disconnect it. You will notice that it is siliconed in place when you go to remove it, so a little force is required once you have the screws out. It takes time a patience to get to the final result. Good luck.
