Need help with 74 27' Oday Table

New to site. We just purchased this "Old Boat". My Mate and I plan to do some pocket sailing around Destin Fl, as the boat is currently in that area. She works from home or boat by internet (modern technology is great) and I am retired.
The boat has its share of issue's as all boat do. Top paint etc.. The bottom pain is fresh and she came with marine air and heat which is really the reason I choose her for the comfort of my mate while working I can be woking on the fix up jobs required and it gets pretty hot in the summer and somtimes cool in winter.
The inside is clean and dry (love the headroom) but the port wall has no shelving or lazarette nor is there a table, the berth cushions are there and good shape.
I searched Oday specs, mods and posts on this site and it apears the table should be on a pedestal. I would prefer to build and mount a fold down table (with some narrow shelving behind) from the port bulhead as this model 27 has the kitchen on the starboard side. The interior mast support pole is one obstacle to my fold up/down table mount.
Has anyone made this mod to their 27 or have thoughts, recommendations or links to pics of this or similar mod.

A friend of mine has a Newport 30 and has the exact table setup you are speaking of. The shelves hold an entire bar and sticks out of the bulkhead wall by about 4 inches. This design would clear the compression post without a problem as the table extends from the bottom of the first shelf.

I have the same exact boat you do

and was thinking the same thing. Notice the OEM table is pedestal mounted and folds in half. Actually is a good design, with solid supports underneath but has sharp edges and can get in the way if you have a few people aboard. Good thing is you can stow it.

I should have provided more of an explanation. The 76 model has the bifold table attached to the port bulkhead. It swings down and folds out. I can measure the blocks and table leaves for you if you would like.
