Old saying - it's never difficult for the guy who DOESN'T have to do it.

It isn't very complicated but only you can decide. Best to download the install manual for your inverter of choice and see for yourself how confident you are.

What inverter are we talking about? I ordered the factory installed inverter on my B41, it was pricey but a real high-end one. They put in a MasterVolt Combi inverter/charger which is quite a piece of tech. See specs and features here:

I would say the Beneteau installation is first rate but the wiring and overall installation seem quite complex and probably more so if doing a post delivery installation. A lot of people seem to get by with cheapo power inverters that you can buy in auto store but unless you want to occasionally power A/C equipment, I wouldn't recommend those.

Power A/C off of an inverter?? Don't think so unless you have a monster inverter and a huge battery bank.

They're good for hair dryers, tv etc

If you are just installing a simple plug in type inverter then it is fairly straight forward just make sure you use a fuse on the battery side and ground the case of the inverter to your ships ground. If you are installing a built in unit connected to the ships AC panel I recommend you hire a pro to at least help. You will need a unit with auto transfer, you will have to isolate the AC inverter loads on the panel and use a separate neutral for the inverter loads. You will also want the DC side properly done with a high amp fuse and switch to de-energize the unit in the event of a fault. Properly done you will get years of good service, poorly done it could be a serious shock hazard. 120 VAC can kill even from an inverter.
