Need help to identify 24' early 70's sailboat

Hello all, I am new here and new to sailing, just acquired a 24' sailboat. There are no markings anywhere identifying the manufacturer, in fact the title has "Unknown Manufacturer" listed on it. The boat was abandoned at a marina and the marina owner was able to obtain a title from the state.

I have googled sailboat brands and pics and have come up with nothing. Attached are some pics, any help appreciated.

there is nothing stamped into transom?? should be a number with letters stamped into hull for hin....

Thanks for the input, the Luger does look somewhat similar. The only numbers on the hull is the metal tag issued by the state of Mo. Boat manufacturers did not put the seriel numbers with year on the transom until around 73 or 74. The title say 1970, not sure how they came up with that???

I suppose that anything I may need for the boat will have to be custom made. It looks like everything is there however so I hope to be sailing by next spring!

my 1958 jensen wenk 24 ft sloop i had for a while had numbers stamped into transom, so yours may just be custom build....

Official HIN's began in 1972, format changed in 1984. Prior to that was builders option.

You might find the HIN written by hand on the inside of the hull, not inner liner, look inside the lockers and up in the anchor rode locker if you have one.
As far as custom parts, only the parts made for specific boats like hatch covers, keel and rudder would need to be made custom, other parts like blocks, winches, bilge pumps, etc, etc are generic to any boat and available from a number of sources.
Lots of good online vendors, shop around for the stuff you need. Might watch ebay but compare what you see there with new, I've seen a lot of worn out gear being sold for close to new items.
The SBO store and gear classified ads are a good place to start.

What does the title say is the HIN? My Luger 30 1984 didn't have a hull number either, so I made one up and stamped it on an aluminum plate. Do you have interior pictures.

For my Luger I am using equipment from Catalina and Dwyer. Most everything is adaptable from some other manufacturer.

There is a Luger group that is somewhat active at Yahoo.

Try calling the state department in charge of registering boats. They may have more info on the type of boat. I know our Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries states what type of boat it is (as well as other particulars) on the registration.

Wow thanks for all the feedback you guys are great! I plan to gut most of the interior and rework the inside this winter as well as giving the center board a work over too so hopefully I will come across some numbers or more info somewhere on this thing.

Haven't had the sails out of their bags yet so possibly some info there too. I just took possesion of her a few days ago and been busy with work and honey-do's. Can't wait to get busy on her soon!

In the early days, boats did not have titles nor were they required to have serial numbers. this boat looks Lugar like to me, but I have never seen anything exactly like it. I'm pretty good at late 60's and early 70's boats.
