NEED HELP IDENTIFYING BOLT IN BERTH

THERE IS A BOLT/NUT THAT SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM THE MAST PULPIT AREA INTO THE FORWARD BERTH JUST INFRONT OF THE GALLEY BULKHEAD.WHAT DOES THIS DO???

Lloyd -Not familiar with what you mean by mast pulpit. Are you talking about the tabernacle? If so I'd guess its one of the tabernacle bolts. Can you more fully describe where it is, how big it is, etc? Maybe we can do better for you.Justin - O'day Owners' Web

addition to mast bolt question

pulpit/tabernacle.all these religious terms confuse me.yes i believe i do mean the tabernacle.it is just underthat area.slightly in front of the bulkhead, the other side of which is the galley,a few inches to the rear of the deck hatch.

These bolts do secure the tabernacle (base of the mast). They should be tightened snugly but not too tight. Ron
