This rudder was found on a recent dive trip to a nearby lake. I have tried to find out what type of boat it belongs on, but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The only markings on the rudder are the numbers "26603 25457." Looks like a Hobie rudder to me.

Combine that with they do capsize more than most boats, I do think it is Hobie. r.w.landau

Almost agree with hobie but

Hobie's are twin rudder with a connecting bar between the rudders on the tiller with the tiller exgtension at the middle of the bar. Based on what I see this is a small boat probably less than 15 feet. Similar to a SunFish? Jim S/V Java

Don't think it is a Hobie

A Hobie style "kick up" rudder is different. The tiller extention suggests a monohull.

I'm with Brian

A monohull. Someone flipped their daysailor and lost the rudder.

Keep them coming!

Thanks for the responses guys. It looks like we have narrowed it down to a monohull, small boat. Any suggestions on brand?

Supercat 17

I think it is one side of a supercat 17 catamaran (originally made by Boston Whaler). it looks exactly like the one I have in my garage. Chris sv Charisma
