What is the difference between a Venture 22 and a Venture 222? Can a used rudder and tiller for a Venture 222 be found and would it be usable, please help.

I know this one! heheheh I have a V2-24... The difference between the 22, and the 2-22 is a pop-top cabin. I don't think that there were any other differences...Just the top...so your other parts should work just fine... Skip PS...Click the link...I found ya something!

Kyventure: Although I own a Venture 2-24, I have read some very interesting information about Venture 2-22 on the www.macgregor-boats.com wesite. Scroll down and you will see a MAC/VENTURE mailing list. Scroll down further & you will see a "grouping" of about five V2-22 websites. I suggest you look at Brett's website and certainly at Jeff Denard's website. Jeff might be agreat source of information about your rudder & tiller needs! There is also a V2-22 Owner's List with Home Ports listed for many. You might find an owner near your home port. Hope this helps and Happy Sails! Cap'n Karl Whidbey Island

Kyventure 222: You might also check out www.idasailor.com The will certainly be able to help you with a new rudder, tiller & pintles (pintels?) for just over $400. When you consider that you will probably only buy ONE rudder or tiller in your entire ownership of a sailboat, I say to buy the best you can afford.
